Harrison, our Founder, Co-President and Head of Layout is a senior BB&C major from Boulder, Colorado. When he’s outside you can find him climbing, skiing or just taking in the views. Harrison founded the WOJ from various visions and ideas ultimately hoping it can act as a conduit to building connection and improving DEIA in Whitman’s outdoor community. It’s been a massive task to reconcile accessibility, but he believes that by diversifying local outdoor representation and promoting wats we can help each other overcome barriers is a solid place to start! 

I am a senior from Bellingham, WA majoring in Psychology with minors in Economics and Race and Ethnic Studies. Some of my favorite outdoor activties are skiing, backpacking, and climbing. I espcially love speding time outdoors with people I care about, like my friends and family, and sharing new experinces with people, like the middle school students that I lead on summer outdoor trips.

I'm a senior from Bellevue, Washington majoring in Environmental Studies, Anthropology and Japanese. I love to fish and ski!

I am a senior from Snoqualmie, WA majoring in Physics with a minor in Data Science. I love to backpack, ski, and climb whenever I can. I also enjoy teaching at the Whitman Climbing Center! The outdoors has been a real highlight of my time at Whitman, and I enjoy getting out in the nearby areas!

Hali is an avid climber, backpacker and photographer who strives to share her love for the outdoors!

So far no one else has figured out how to edit the website to they can't make me have a normal bio. That also (unfortunately) means that I am the only person to blame for the typos and mistakes on the website.

I am a senior from Saint Paul, Minnesota who is majoring in Politics with minors in Rhetoric and Philosophy. My favorite outdoor activities are snowboarding, mountain biking, and making Ben Herron question his life decisions. I love all things outdoors, and dream of living out of Laura, my 2007 Subaru Forester that has a bumper sticker that says "Here I go in my big gay car!"

I am a senior from El Dorado Hills, California and I am majoring in Biology-Environmental Studies. My favorite outdoor activities are backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, and playing lacrosse! I have been a Trip Leader for the Outdoor Program's WOOT trips and would love to get into wildlife biology or environmental education post-grad.

I am a Sophomore, Environmental Hunanities major. I enjoy rock-climbing and trail running in my free time. See you out there!
